Lee McCulloch said: “It was great to visit Calderwood Lodge Primary School today and to be part of the Tesco Bank Football Challenge.

"The programme works well as it teaches children the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

"Having two kids at home, I know how hard it can be to drag them away from modern distractions, so it’s great to see companies investing time in getting kids fit and active through sport.

"Having fun in any sport at this age is what’s important, and the Challenge enables children to do just that.”

Adele Mills, Senior Community Investment Manager at Tesco Bank, added: “Our community programme encourages children to develop positive, lifelong habits and have fun whilst doing so.

We’re delighted that Lee was here to support the Tesco Bank Football Challenge, and that the children had the chance to meet such a positive and prominent role model.

We’re committed to ensuring children understand the importance of keeping fit and active giving them memorable experiences such as today’s visit from Lee.”
