The Board of The Scottish FA have announced the appointment of Chris Rawlings as Commercial Director. Rawlings, 48, joins the governing body with an impressive track record in delivering commercial success in the sports and entertainment industries. The former Lagardère Sports Executive, has previously worked with organisations across football to attract commercial investment, and most recently was the Commercial Director for the Rugby Football League.
He will have responsibility for increasing broadcasting and commercial revenue across the Scottish FA’s portfolio of properties and competitions.
Stewart Regan, Chief Executive of the Scottish FA, said: “The commercial and broadcasting landscape is changing and with that the needs of the fans, commercial partners and broadcasters are constantly evolving. We need to make sure that we are ready to adapt and service those needs.
“Chris will be a key member of our team at Hampden. He will build upon and lead our efforts to drive more investment into the game. He will also sit on our Operational Board and will be responsible for driving revenue across our sponsorship, broadcasting, retail, licensing and ticketing functions. Chris will take up his position in January 2018.
