When working with footballers withdisabilities, coaches should focus on what the player can do rather thanwhat they cannot. Coaches should not simply pick age appropriateactivities they must focus on ability and pitch practices at the correctdevelopmental stage for the individual players they are coaching.

 

Coaching Footballers with a Disability

This 6-hour course is open to allinterested parties aged 16 and over, experienced or otherwise, who workwith or have an interest in working with footballers with a disability.Using practical and workshop teaching methods the course is designed togive coaches an insight into best practice when delivering coachingsessions to groups of players with a wide range of abilities anddisabilities.
