The Scottish Football Association

North region coaching section

The North region has many different ways for new coaches to take their first steps on the coaching ladder. We have a full programme of coach education that runs throughout the year in the seven local authorities we cover.

The courses run in a variety of ways, on a variety of different days, to make sure that we have something to fit in with your busy schedules.

Quality Mark

Students at the colleges can apply to come on our courses for free but they agree to undertake a certain amount of volunteer hours, depending on the level of coach education they wish to undertake.  From there we endeavour to place the volunteers with our development officers and Quality Mark clubs to ensure they have a route to practise the new skills they have learned.

For further information on this programme please contact Calum MacDonald on 07841 569 807.

In-service Sessions/Player Pathway

The region offers a wide range of in-service sessions throughout the course of the year. These sessions cover a wide range of topics from pre-season training sessions to 11 v 11 workshops. All information on these courses can be found in the regional brochure.
