Scotland will prepare for their final World Cup qualifier with a friendly against the Netherlands on Friday, 2 September.

It's set for an 8pm kick-off (7pm UK time) at the MAC³PARK Stadion in Zwolle, with Pedro Martinez Losa and his squad looking to build on last month’s 4-0 defeat of Ukraine.

That result helped ensure the Scots booked a World Cup play-off place with a game to spare, with an away game in the Faroe Islands rounding off Group B on Tuesday, 6 September.

Looking ahead to the friendly, Pedro said: "We're pleased to have agreed the game with our Dutch counterparts and it'll be a great test for the players ahead of our final World Cup qualifier.

"I'm very happy with the direction the group is going in. Not just the performance and result against Ukraine, but their all-round approach to training and the camps in general.

"Each time we meet up, we try to make the most of it - as staff and players. This next trip will be no different.

"We'll prepare properly to face the Dutch and that will set us up for the game against the Faroe Islands.

"Whatever happens then, in terms of the play-off draw, remains to be seen but it's exciting."
