Referee David Munro and assistant referee Calum Spence have been included in the 2020 FIFA nominations list for the first time.
They join a list of 23 officials who have had their nominations accepted for the 2020 International Lists of Referees and Assistant Referees, with Andrew Dallas resigning from the FIFA list during the summer and assistant referee Jordan Stokoe stepping down.
Referee Recruitment and Education Officer Thomas Murphy said: "It is great news for David and Calum. Their nominations continue the progressive work of the Referee Committee and the Referee Operations over recent years to ensure that the Scottish FA is able to put promising referees on to the international stage and to give them the chance to progress, given the way in which refereeing is structured at international level.
"David’s potential was recognised several years ago and in 2017 he completed the UEFA Centre of Refereeing Excellence Course, where he received coaching of the highest calibre.
"Calum graduated from the Scottish FA’s own Centre of Refereeing Excellence program in 2018, having been identified as a potential FIFA assistant in 2016 and has made excellent progress since. Officiating International football offers incredible experiences and we wish them all the best in their future appointments.
"The Referee Committee wishes to record its appreciation of the service given by Andrew and Jordan during their time on the FIFA List."
