Applications for the Scottish FA’s JD Performance Schools are now open for the ninth intake since opening in 2011.
Seven Performance Schools run across Scotland in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Motherwell. The goal is to develop top footballers whilst improving academic and social skills through the delivery of an extensive, challenging programme.
The schools have proven successful on a number of fronts with graduates’ academic results improving by 15% in National 5’s.
Graduates are excelling on the pitch with a number of high profile achievements last year, including Billy Gilmour making his Premier League debut for Chelsea and Liam Smith signing for Manchester City from Kilmarnock.
