• 25,000 Scotland Supporters Club memberships renewed within first ten days of sales window opening
  • More than 18,500 five-match packages for Scotland’s 2023 fixtures purchased by SSC members within 48 hours

Scotland supporters have rushed to secure their seat at Hampden in 2023 ahead of a huge year for the national team, shattering previous records for Scotland Supporters Club (SSC) membership renewals.

Scotland supporters have some exciting matches to look forward to next year, with England set to visit Hampden Park in September to play a special 150th Anniversary Heritage Match marking the first ever international football fixture in 1872, as well as mouth-watering ties against Spain, Norway, Cyprus and Georgia in UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying.

Nearly 14,000 memberships were sold within the first 48 hours – breaking the previous record of 11,500 – with 25,000 Scotland supporters having now taken up the option to renew their membership during the exclusive renewal period before SSC membership sales open up to the wider public on Wednesday, 7 December.

The five-match package for Scotland’s 2023 home fixtures have also been in high demand, with 18,500 packages sold within the first 48 hours of going on sale.

Five-match packages are currently on sale exclusively to renewing SSC members. New memberships will be available alongside the five-match package this Wednesday, 7 December. Single tickets for the 2023 home fixture calendar go on sale exclusively to SSC members on 14 December before sales open to the general public on 11 January.

The huge demand for tickets follows a hugely successful autumn period for Steve Clarke’s side in which they won their UEFA Nations League Group, earned promotion to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League and secured the safety net of a play-off spot for UEFA EURO 2024.

Scotland Head Coach Steve Clarke: “The Scotland fans made their presence felt throughout 2022 and it is quite humbling to see them coming out in their droves again to back us in the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

“We ended 2022 on a bit of a high by achieving our goal of winning the Nations League group and this was helped in no small part by the incredible atmosphere generated by the crowd at both of our Hampden games.

“It is heartening to see that we are already well on track for more sold-out matches at the national stadium next year in what will be some very challenging but exciting fixtures.

“On behalf of myself, the players, the backroom staff and all those involved with the national team, I’d like to express our gratitude to the fans for their fantastic support and, with their continued backing, I’m sure we can make 2023 a successful year for the national team.”
