As the young team aim for a place in Poland, forward Laura Berry, who is the joint second top-scorer in the campaign so far with 5 goals, is looking ahead to a challenging but exciting week:
“I think that it will be a tough 3 games against Czechia, Spain and Switzerland, but I think we’re ready and I know that we’re all really excited to get started. If we play to the best of our abilities, there’s no doubt that we can progress to the finals.”
Reflecting on her own contribution so far, the 17-year-old added: “I’ve really enjoyed it.
“I always want to be on the scoresheet and to score for your country is the best feeling so hopefully I can keep it up.
“With the first 3 games in Hungary at the end of last year, I think we probably exceeded the expectations that were set for us after the game against the Netherlands.
“We also played Iceland a few times last month which was a good challenge and has set us up really well heading into these final qualifiers.”
