As we near the business end of both the Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup and the Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup, eight matches take place across the country this weekend as both competitions reach the Quarter-Final stage.
All four matches in the men's competition will be live across Premier Sports and BBC Scotland, while the Rangers v Spartans match in the women's competition will be streamed live on the Scottish Cup social media channels.
Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup Quarter-Finals
The Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup Quarter-Final weekend gets underway on Friday evening under the lights at Tynecastle as Hearts welcome Dundee live on Premier Sports.
Hearts saw off St Mirren on penalties in the last round following a 1-1 draw in Paisley, while Tony Docherty's Dundee backed up their derby win over Dundee United in Round Four with a comfortable 4-0 win over Airdrieonians. This will be the first meeting between the two sides in the Scottish Cup since the 2000/01 season, when Hearts triumphed 1-0 in a replay at Dens Park.
Dundee shocked Hearts in the league in August by racing into a 3-0 half-time lead before going on to a secure a 3-1 win, but the Gorgie side have gone on to defeat Dundee 2-0 and 6-0 in the two meetings since. Hearts are aiming to reach the Scottish Cup semi-final for the fifth time in seven seasons, with Dundee are aiming to get there for the first time since 2006.
Aberdeen then host Queen's Park at Pittodrie on Saturday live on BBC One Scotland. It's a repeat of their League Cup Second Round tie, which the Dons won 1-0 through a Topi Keskinen goal back in August. Aberdeen have also won all six of their Scottish Cup ties with the Spiders, though the most recent match was way back in 1964.
Aberdeen have enjoyed a mixed run in the league in 2025 but they have recorded two comfortable wins in the cup against Elgin City and Dunfermline.
Callum Davidson's Queen's Park, meanwhile, recorded one of the biggest shocks in the history of the Scottish Cup in the Fifth Round as they defeated Rangers 1-0 at Ibrox.
That followed a penalty shoot-out win over Partick Thistle and an extra-time victory over Montrose, as the Spiders now sit one match away from a first Scottish Cup last four appearance since 1928, almost a century ago.
Sunday sees arguably the tie of the round as holders Celtic host David Gray's in-form Hibernian, live on Premier Sports. The Hoops have won the last two Scottish Cups and manager Brendan Rodgers boasts an imperious record in this competition. He lifted the cup twice during his first spell at the club, before winning it again last season, while Celtic's comprehensive win over Raith Rovers in the Fifth Round was his 19th straight victory in the Scottish Cup.
But Gray's rejuvenated Hibs are currently on a 15-game unbeaten run, culminating in home victories over Celtic and rivals Hearts in the league in their last two matches. It's a run that has seen them go from bottom to third in the Premiership and the Hibees will be buoyed by an away support of around 7000 in Glasgow's East End.
The last Scottish Cup meeting between Celtic and Hibernian at Celtic Park was back in February 1997, with Celtic winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Phil O’Donnell and Paolo di Canio. Celtic have not lost at home in the competition since a defeat to Aberdeen in 2013/14, although Hibernian are unbeaten in their last nine away matches in the Scottish Cup.
The final Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup match of the weekend takes place on Monday night with 2021 cup winners St Johnstone travelling to face Championship side Livingston, live on BBC Scotland. This will be just the third Scottish Cup meeting of Livingston and St Johnstone – Saints won both previous meetings, in 1998/99 and 2013/14. Livi have recent form over their visitors, however, and they are unbeaten in their last five home matches against St Johnstone – with three wins and two draws since their last defeat in February 2022.
Livingston are aiming to reach the Scottish Cup semi-final for the first time since 2004, while St Johnstone have reached two Scottish Cup semi-finals in the last 13 seasons, and on both occasions they have gone on to lift the trophy.

Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup Quarter-Finals
The four Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup Quarter-Final matches all take place on Sunday afternoon.
The action begins at 12pm as SWPL2 promotion hopefuls Boroughmuir Thistle host Motherwell. Both teams are enjoying strong campaigns, with Thistle sitting 3rd - six points off the top of the second tier - and Motherwell sixth in SPWL1. Both sides will be eyeing a place in the last four, with neither side having reached the Semi-Finals since they were moved to Hampden Park.
The second match sees the lowest-ranked remaining side in the competition, St Johnstone, entertain top flight Aberdeen at the Riverside Stadium, with a 1pm kick off scheduled.
The Saints have a third straight home game in the Scottish Cup and they will be hoping to continue the form which has seen them score four in each of the previous two victories over Elgin City and Ayr United in the last two rounds. The Dons, meanwhile, will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of victories against SPWL2 opponents, having also enjoyed straightforward victories over Gartcairn and Hamilton Academical.
Holders Rangers then host Spartans at 2pm at Broadwood Stadium, live on the Scottish Cup Youtube Channel. Jo Potter's Rangers defeated Hearts in last season's final to win the competition for the first time. They will be looking to get back to winning ways after dropping to third in the SPWL following a 2-2 draw with Hearts at the weekend.
Spartans enjoyed a fairytale run in last season's competition, reaching the Semi-Finals at Hampden Park, before losing narrowly to Hearts. Jack Beesley's side currently sit 8th in SWPL and they have scored nine unanswered goals in this season's competition in big wins over Kilmarnock and Glenrothes Strollers.
The final match of the weekend is the eagerly-anticipated clash between Hearts and Glasgow City. City have won this cup on nine occasions, while Hearts are looking to get their hands on the trophy for the first time and, in turn, go one better than last year when they lost to Rangers in the final.
City won the first meeting between the two sides 2-1, with the second match finishing in a goalless draw. Both sides have already come through stern tests to reach this stage, with Glasgow City edging past Celtic 3-2 in the last round and Hearts narrowly defeating Edinburgh rivals Hibs 1-0 in Round Three.
