Northern Ireland: Taylor (17).
Team News
Scot Gemmill handed a debut to goalkeeper Jay Hogarth and midfielder Matthew Craig, while Josh Reid and Flynn Clarke enjoyed their first starts.
Leon King took the captain's armband in the absence of Josh Doig, following his promotion to the senior Scotland squad.
As It Happened
Scotland started on the front foot and took the lead inside four minutes with a well-worked goal.
Midfielder Lucas De Bolle played a superb through-ball into the path of Clarke, who was clinical in drilling home.
Hogarth was called into action to prevent a quickfire leveller, with a smart stop to deny Dale Taylor, but the visitors weren't to be denied.
Chris McKee teed up Taylor, who made no mistake second time around.
Josh Mulligan turned in an effort of his own after a smart ball in from Tommy Conway, while De Bolle came close to restoring Scotland's lead only to fire narrowly wide.
Connor Smith, too, was unfortunate to see a back-post volley fly just over as, at the other end, Hogarth was on top form again to deny Ross McCausland.
Ben Doak was introduced with half an hour remaining and caught the eye with some polished close control and trickery that set up Conway, only for a point-blank save to deny him the winner.
