The Sixth Round draw of the William Hill Scottish Cup took place live on Premier Sports this afternoon.

The stage is now set for the remaining ten teams in the competition, with some intriguing encounters set to take place on February 29 and March 1.

Former Celtic forward Chris Sutton reflected on the draw and said: “Celtic face a difficult trip to take on St Johnstone. Tommy Wright has got them going a bit now so it’s an awkward fixture for the holders.

“Hearts against Rangers is a really interesting one, with Rangers losing there in recent times it’s hard to call. Hibernian with the home advantage is maybe one of the easier ones to call with Jack Ross turning things around there and Inverness facing a long trip, but you never know.

“Motherwell are having a really good season but they have to get past St Mirren first which won’t be easy. Aberdeen and Kilmarnock could go either way, particularly with Aberdeen struggling to score goals of late, so it could really be any of those four sides meeting in that game.”
